Identifying Opportunities in Economic & Regulator Trends

  • Opprotunities
    • Economic Trend Ideas
      • Property Values increasing
        • property values are increasing, especially in Gainesville, and across the country. This would be relatively easy for consumers to exploit because they would want to buy now for cheaper than later, when the same house would be more expensive
        • Property investing has been a major financial sector for decades, with its up and downs. However, right now, I feel and with proof, know that the value of homes will continue to rise, until the next housing bubble
      • Stock selling platforms
        • Some Software As a Service (SAS) startups that focus on democratizing buying and selling stocks on the stock market have gotten billion dollar valuations. I foresee many copycats, or spin-off products that will also reach this level of prominence.
    • Regulatory Change Ideas
      • Marijuana legal in more states
        • I personally believe that marijuana will become legal within the next couple of years. Because of this, I have personal invested some money into marijuana farms because many prexisting farms will have an upper hand above new ones if becomes legal
      • Drone regulatory laws becoming more relaxed
        • Drones have been a controversial concept ever since they became popular two years ago during the holiday season. However, there is new regulation in the process that would enable drone pilots to perform more maneuvers and operate in more environments then they are allowed to now

  1. Hey Collin,

I really liked your regulatory changes and the opportunities that will follow. I agree with your opinion on the legalization of marijuana, I also wrote a regulatory change on this. Especially with the recent legalization of recreational marijuana in Canada, new dispensaries are going to have a great opportunity in this market, as well as those who invest in it. In your opinion, who do you think is given the greatest opportunity with this regulatory change? Are there any other ways to reap the benefits aside from investing?

  2. Hi Collin!
I enjoyed reading your post. I thought it was interesting that you mentioned the increase of property values. My dad knows does a lot of real estate investing so I am very familiar with how it works. Basically, if the property you buy is in an area that's in high demand, you could make alot of monye off of rent or if you decide to keep the property and sell it later.

  3. Collin,
I also included the decriminalization of marijuana as a regulatory opportunity in my post. The drug's medical and psychoactive properties ensure an incentive to many people to purchase cannabis products. This makes it a very good product with the potential of an extremely successful and profitable industry. The legalization of marijuana would allow businesses to legally capitalize on this opportunity. Great Post.

  4. Hey Collin,
Opening up marijuana laws is boosting every economy it is allowed now older people will feel more comfortable buying and smoking weed and every person who smokes will love to try legal weed. Stock selling platforms seem like a can't fail system there will always be competition because no one can really completely dominate the whole market for it. Only thing they can do is make the better and better platforms.

  5. Hi Collin,

I enjoyed reading your lists. I think you're absolutely correct about the emergence of stock trading platform. I see ads on different platform products everywhere nowadays. And many of those are automatic trading platforms which will make trading decisions for you, so even if you don't have much knowledge in this field, you have an opportunity to make returns.
