Halfway Reflection

  1. To take ENT3003, you need to not procrastinate. All of the assignments are due at the end of the week and it is very easy to loose track of time and do a weeks worth of work 2 hours before all of the weeks assignments are done. One thing I was surprised by was the course is that since we need conduct interviews occasionally, how kind some people were and how many people I was able to talk to by simply asking.
  2. As I had mentioned before, procrastinating on the assignments can be horrible since a total weeks work of work is due at the same time. On one particular Friday night, I had two long ENT3003 assignments I put off to later, a writing assignment and an exam that I had to study for all in the same night, which made my highly consider not completing all of the assignments. But somehow I managed to get all of the things done.
  3. 3 Tips
    1. Don't Procrastinate
      • Easier said then done. Attempt to get one of two assignments done on Wednesday and the second one on Friday
    2. Reach out to people
      • You would be surprised by how many people/who you can talk to by just asking
    3. Realize that this class is more real world than academia
      • I personally have enjoyed this class so far because many of the things we learn can apply to the real world and are actually applicable

  1. Hey Collin,

Great post! I think the most important tip is definitely to not procrastinate. This is a course you have to dedicate time to throughout the week, if not everything will pile up and that makes for a not very enjoyable Friday night.

  2. I think your emphasis on procrastination is really called for. The assignments for this class are easy enough, but can be difficult to complete on extremely short notice. I also feel that reaching out to people is very important. There are so many students in this class that are more than willing to help others understand the nuances of this course and answer any questions we may not find in the syllabus.
